LVTX-8 is an amphipathic alpha-helical cell penetrating peptide from venomous spider Lycosa vittate, with anti-cancer activity. This peptide can promote apoptosis and inhibit the proliferation and migration of lung cancer cells in vitro and in vivo. Transcriptome analysis has indicated that LVTX-8 could suppress invasion; migration and proliferation of lung cancer cells through P53 related pathways.
