Sustainability & ESG Project Manager


Your mission/responsibilities:

Manage and drive all responsibilities of the company relating to Sustainability and Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG). Concretely support implementing and managing the CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Report Directive) project, as well as other current and future sustainability regulations.

Under the direct reporting of the Technical & Support Services Director, coordinate all efforts around ESG and Sustainability responsibilities


Compliance & Reporting
•Under the direct reporting of the Technical & Support Services Director, coordinate all efforts around ESG and Sustainability responsibilities
•Ensure compliance with the CSR Directive and, in particular, the annual reporting
•Act as the Single Point of Contact (SPoC) for coordination of all ESG-related matters, including data collection and business support for answering customer, auditor or authority requests (RFP, ESG audits, etc.) and be the SPoC relay with Kaneka Group
•Coordinate closely with other relevant departments (H&S, HR, Finance…) to ensure any reporting obligation involving sustainability/ESG topics is met in due time
•Ensure a proactive watch of the evolution of standards and regulations around these matters and make proposals/recommendations to the management

Project Management
•Propose and drive design and improvement initiatives, KPI’s and OKR’s for reduction of our emissions and/or carbon footprint or any other relevant sustainability index
•Recommend and ensure the implementation of the most appropriate tools for tracking GHG and carbon footprint estimates and setting up our reduction target                                                                                                           •Conduct projects and initiatives around ESG and Sustainability with the right stakeholders

Communication
•Ensure consistency both in our estimates and in internal/external communications about specific metrics and targets
•Ensure positive communication and suggest improvements in the way our sustainability/ESG efforts are advertised and made public

Expected results
•On-time delivery of all regulatory and legal obligations around Sustainability & ESG topics (CSRD, environmental licences, Permis d’exploiter, etc.)
•Definition and maintenance of efficient KPI’s, OKR’s and related dashboards
•Recognized Sustainability & ESG SPoC throughout the company
•Selection of appropriate tools, e.g. for calculating GHG emissions and carbon footprint                                                                                                                                                                                                                               •Projects implemented in due time with the right ESG focus
•Mid-term: maintain a 3-year plan for investments and actions driven by our Sustainability & ESG targets and aligned with the company strategy


Your profile:


•High-level and wide technical background (MSc, engineering, biotechnologies…) acquired by either formal education and/or proven equivalent experiences
•Demonstrated interest in sustainability and ESG matters (any certification is a plus)                                                                                                                                                                                                                   •Experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP) and how to extract and analyze valuable data out of it
•Organizational excellence and project management skills
•Capabilities to analyze large amounts of information (e.g. legislation texts) and to efficiently summarize and transform them into actionable plans

•Team-spirit mindset mixed with a sense of autonomy in achieving objectives
•Excellent communicator, at ease with interactions with all departments and at every level in the company
•Solution-oriented profile making innovative suggestions
•Good understanding of basic financial business concepts (P&L, RoI, CAPEX/OPEX…)
•At ease with a comprehensive set of modern business tools (M365, SAP, PowerBI…)
•Professional level in both French & English languages (including excellent redactional skills)
