This is histone H3 (1-21) monomethylated at Lys9 followed by a biotinylated Lys at its C-terminus. Lys9 monomethylated histone H3 is associated with silent chromatin domains in euchromatin. This monomethylated state is also the preferred substrate for Suv39h1 and Suv39h2, the methyltransferases that catalyze Lys9 trimethylation. Provided at >95% peptide purity, this peptide was dissolved in distilled water at 1 mg/ml and re-lyophilized to powder form.
