The sequence of the FITC-labeled centromere probe ATTCGTTGGAAACGGGA is 5' labeled by the FITC fluorescent Dye. The sequence is human specific.

PNA sequences are electrically neutral DNA/RNA analogs. The uncharged backbone enables rapid hybridization and improved stability compared to their DNA/RNA counterparts. Thanks to their high specificity for their target, small amounts are sufficient to give high signal-to-noise results. PNA FISH Centromere probes are recommended for tracking chromosome aberrations in the centromere such as trisomy and polysomy. Sequence break can be clearly detected.

* The PNA bases are only available in the following countries: Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Denmark, Ireland, United Kingdom, Greece, Portugal, Spain, Austria, Finland, Sweden, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia, Bulgaria, Romania, Norway, Iceland, Bosnia, Serbia, Montenegro, Turkey, Switzerland, Israel, Russia and African countries.
